Bare with me on this one I can not believe Mason is old enough to be going to Scout Camp? Where did the time go? I know it is just "day camp" for Cub Scouts but, still he is gone for 2 days off to SCOUT CAMP!!! That means he is old enough to be out wandering in the wilderness without me there to protect him :( He was so cute this morning he woke up bright and early and got dressed so excitied to go and he kept asking me are you crying mom? Are you okay mom? I was fine, I actually was not nervous until NOW!!! Then we drove to the church to drop him off and he asked me again "are you okay mom?" I said yes buddy I am fine as long as you listen your leader and stay with your group okay?" He say's "Ok actually I am the one that is nervous can we please say a prayer before I go?" So sweet!
So we said a little family prayer in the parking lot then he say's and I want to give Laken and you big hugs before I go. Mason, is such a sweetheart he was so sad about missing one day at day care with his little sister can you imagine how hard 2 years is going to be if he goes on a mission? Then there is the little sister's response Mason gives her big hugs and kisses and giving her big brother advice telling her to have a fun day, and that he will be home to have dinner with her and not to worry he will see her later tonight, etc., etc. She looks up at him and say's "Can you go already I'm going to miss my morning snack at school." Ha Ha Ha!!! Oh the love of a little sister :)
Mason thanks for being a great big brother you are an amazing kid! Hope you have fun at scout camp!

Go Mason! He looks so grown-up. I'm so pround of that kid. It's hard to believe he is only 8 years old. I sure had fun at dinner even if we were all zombies! Give the kiddos a big hug for me!
