A few weeks ago the kids and I were over at our friend Jenn's house we had an amazing day and made a new friend. We had so much fun together, later that evening we had a BBQ and then we heard a scream from the swing set. When I arrived at the swing set our friend Craig was the first one kneeling next to Mason and was calming him down. Not sure what he said or how but, some how my son who is typically a major screamer calmed down by the time I got there? Mason managed to some how accidently do a back flip out of the swings and of course put his arms out straight to catch himself. Several hours later and many Ice packs the X-ray's were in and Mason managed to break both arms!!! Remember he is my child so if you are going to injury yourself you are going to do it big time. GO BIG OR GO HOME is our family motto apparently. For the first 4 days he had to be in little slings and was in splints up to his arm pits and his arms were in the "L" shape. I'm sure I do not need to spell it all out but, the boy could do nothing for himself. I guess that is what I get for feeling baby hungry? Instead I had a 7 year old who needed everything done for him. After the 4th day we met with the surgeon and lucky for us no surgery and he got smaller cast and would now be able to do certain things for himself. HALLALUJIA!!!! Mason kept saying he "felt like a free man" he chose green cast so when he was able to go back to school they started to call him the "Hulk" he thinks he is pretty cool now. I'm very proud of him he has been very strong and such a little trooper through all of it.
