Finding Joy in the Small Things
Well Little Miss Linz Lou called me out, she is right I have not updated my blog for along time. Have been in a bit of a funk and not really felt upbeat about posting something on here. Of course life in the Turton/Thompson household is never boring and as usual the past few weeks have been no different so instead of me focusing on any of that I'm going to tell a couple stupid little things that have made me smile and kept me happy through a rough period. First, the simple fact that I have my dear friend Linz' Lou who has a magical intuition of always knowing when something is up? I would be lost without her. And to think there are two Murphy girls in the world we are so lucky :) Next, My friend Mary "Moo" came and stayed with me for a week on her trip back home to Alaska. She had just spent 3 months in Africa I know very jealous!!!! But, she without any of us realizing it came at a moment in my life when I needed the calmest person I know around me and that just so happens to be Ms. Mary Moo so the Lord defiantly works in mysterious ways. Next, I am blest to have my strong amazing mother and my friend Brian who drives for 2 hours just to give me a hug when I need one. And of course no post would be complete without a funny story about my kids so probably the one that has kept me giggling the most and there have been many, Laken has been on a roll lately. She is the one now that needs her personal reality camera crew. But, during sacrament meeting she of course in typical Laken fashion was not minding very well and due to Grandma's calling we sit up towards the front. Laken all of a sudden during testimony meeting decided to walk over to the pulpit (the outside wall so her backside was facing the audience) and grabbed onto it and started to do pull ups! Then she turns around holds up her arms and flexes and say's "Look how big my muscles are getting" Very loudly everyone busted up laughing! Even the Bishopric couldn't stop laughing! Mason, is still sweet as ever and keeps me laughing and is growing up way to fast!!!! And last the kids and my favorite new qoute comes from Horton Hears a Who and it is going to be my new motto for a while "In my world everyone eats rainbows and poops butteflies." Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha See Lindsay Lou you should have never asked me to do a post on my blog look what kind of crap you get!!!! :)

I only called you out because someone did it to me too! I love the church story. I can totally see Laken doing that. Mason is such a little man. He will make a wonderful husband and father one day. I know you've had a rough couple of weeks and I am so grateful Mary could be there with you. I wish I didn't live so far away. I love your new motto btw, I might start using it too. Your strength and determination amazes me! You are an excellent Mom and wonderful person. I'm thankful you are in my life. Love you Jen!
